Debi Harney

Debi's art is a moment captured in fabric. A thought, some shape or texture, a wonderful aroma, or a funny phrase-these moments are the fuel for her work. She works intuitively without a plan, but with a destination in mind. She is enthralled with the idea that a feeling can be blue, a word jagged, and music can be seen in a stitch. Like her life, her work is constantly evolving and moving into new directions. Expressing herself through her art is a way to record her journey and tell her story. She has opened her studio in Puyallup and will be teaching there.
